Having grown up on the island of Tasmania off the coast of Australia, I was besotted by the sights, sounds and of course the smells of Paris. Freshly baked croissants wafting through the air, the sun glistening through the alleyways of Le Marais, fresh blooms in the market nearby Notre Dame Cathedral and final thoughts as the sun sets over the Seine.
On that same trip I ventured toward central Europe, having boarded a plane bound for Budapest. I soon realised my love of sensory overload was not exclusive to Paris and before I knew it, I was for all interpretations of the word obsessed with discovery – of both the world and of myself.
A few years later I graduated university and on the day of my graduation I booked a one-way flight to London and embarked on a year of solo travels. Throughout that year I began blogging on a daily basis and sharing snippets of my days on Instagram to a growing audience who were as shocked as I was that I could make a career out of travelling and sharing my daily adventures.
My dream was always to travel and when I realised I could make a career out of sharing my travel stories, I knew I had found my means to an end. In 2016 I published my first book with Penguin Random House titled World of Wanderlust, a collection of my travel photography and memoirs over the years.
